This is an on-site position.Requires minimal travel within the organizational geographic Area of Responsibility (AOR)The position provides Access Control to the facility and if appropriately cleared, may assist other security officers with program security administration. The candidate is responsible to the Physical Security Manager and in addition to Access Control functions, they must possess the skills to ensure all visitors and employees are greeted professionally and receive assistance as necessary.Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

• Checks identification of all visitors and ensures all are sponsored and properly cleared via DISS or SIMS (ManTech database of record)
• Perform(s) visitor control functions and determines visitors need to enter the building, logs visitors in, issues visitor badges and notifies hosts of visitor arrivals and accounts for all logs, instructions, equipment and badges at the beginning and end of each scheduled workday
• Ensures visitors are not introducing any prohibited items (cell phones, pagers, PDAs, etc.)
• Performs and/or assists other Security employees with inspecting bags and hand-carried items, verifying identity, entry control, posting signs on doors and other security requirements per normal and heightened security checklists and receives packages from outside agencies (UPS, Fed Ex, etc.) and notifies addressees to pick up packages at the front desk
• Checks assigned personnel and ensure they have authorized access badges and properly display them while in the facility
• Performs emergency procedures for bomb threat, active shooter, force protection, Anti-Terrorism, fire evacuation and follows all checklists
• Other duties in support of the ManTech Security office may be required

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1 year experience with Access Control is preferred but training will be provided
• Bachelors' Degree is preferred but not required, however a High School Diploma is required
• Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous IC, military/civilian personnel and industry partners
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in program security work highly preferred
• Experience with security policy/manuals and the appropriate NISPOM and ICDs and other guiding policy documents is preferred

Security Clearance Requirements:

• No clearance needed to start
• Applicant selected maybe subject to a government security investigation and must meet program eligibility requirements for special access programs to classified information

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the day.
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer

The projected compensation range for this position is $58,900.00-$97,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
