Overview: We are seeking an experienced Accountant to support a short-term (2-3 weeks) finance project focused on account reconciliations and audit-related validation work. This role requires a detail-oriented accounting professional who can quickly step in, work independently, and deliver accurate outputs within a tight timeframe.
The selected candidate will work closely with the STAFFVIRTUAL CFO and finance leadership to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely completion of reconciliation deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Perform account, ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Match transactions across financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Identify, investigate, and flag discrepancies for review or correction
- Support audit-related validation and documentation checks
- Assist in cleaning, organizing, and verifying financial data
- Ensure timely completion of assigned reconciliation deliverables within the project timeline
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders for clarification of accounting entries when needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and/or auditing
- Strong background in reconciliation work (bank, GL, or accounts reconciliation)
- Prior exposure to audit support (internal or external audit experience is preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial data handling
- Proficient in Excel (lookups, pivot tables, and basic formulas)
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs quickly
- Experience with accounting systems (e.g., ERP tools) is an advantage
Engagement Duration: 2–3 weeks (temporary project-based role)
