Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with hospitals, clinics, facilities, and the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and/or providers, ensuring timely and effective communication.
- Process incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations, including intake, notification, and census roles, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assist the clinical staff with setting up documents/triage cases for Clinical Coverage Review, demonstrating your ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Handle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providers, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience, demonstrating your foundational knowledge and skills.
- 2+ years of customer service experience, with a proven track record of analyzing and solving customer problems, showcasing your ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to create, edit, save, and send documents and spreadsheets, highlighting your technical skills.
- The ability to navigate a computer, open applications, send emails, and conduct data entry, demonstrating your comfort with technology.
- Flexibility to work any 8-hour shift between 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM EST, showing your adaptability and commitment to the role.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge:
- 1+ year of experience working with Verifications, demonstrating your understanding of verification processes and procedures.
- Experience within the Healthcare Industry, showcasing your knowledge of healthcare operations and best practices.
- A background working in a Hospital, Physician's Office, or Medical Clinical setting, highlighting your familiarity with clinical environments.
- Professional experience in a clerical or administrative support role, demonstrating your organizational and administrative skills.
- Working knowledge of Medical Terminology, enabling you to communicate effectively with members and providers.
