Turning Leaf Mind Rehab Consultation, LLC is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This full-time, remote position is ideal for an individual passionate about providing specialized mental health care in a supportive environment. As part of your role, you will help individuals who are navigating the challenges posed by trauma, including conditions like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex trauma.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s history and determine appropriate treatments.
• Collaboratively develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs and promote trauma recovery.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ensuring that best practices in trauma care are followed.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for patients to process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and foster resilience.
• Engage with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed during trauma-related emergencies, showcasing strong judgment and a calm demeanor.
• Educate patients and their families on understanding trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with ethical standards and legal requirements.
• Participate actively in case consultations, share knowledge during team meetings, and engage in continuous professional development focused on trauma-informed care.
• Stay current with the latest research, trends, and methodologies in trauma therapy to enhance the quality of care provided.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role focuses primarily on individuals affected by trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will be instrumental in creating individualized pathways to recovery, recognizing the unique experiences and challenges that each patient brings to their therapy sessions. Your work will significantly impact their healing journey, helping them to reclaim their lives and achieve emotional wellness.
Qualifications
• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health counseling, preferably in settings focused on trauma-informed care.
• Comprehensive understanding of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities.
• Able to deliver trauma-focused therapies effectively and compassionately.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients while providing non-judgmental support.
• Proficient in managing crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and various therapeutic tools.
• A collaborative spirit, eager to share knowledge and work together with colleagues across disciplines.
Preferred Experience
While not mandatory, candidates with additional certifications, specialized training in trauma-informed care, or experience with specific therapeutic interventions will be viewed favorably. A desire to remain engaged in personal and professional growth within the field of mental health counseling is also a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to attractive compensation, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
