Description: • Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, product teams, and operators to identify training needs and define learning outcomes. • Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and align training programs with business objectives. • Design curriculum frameworks, course outlines, evaluations, and instructional materials using ADDIE, Kirkpatrick, and other instructional design methods. • Translate complex technical information into clear, engaging learning experiences for diverse audiences. • Create blended learning content including instructor-led training, e-learning modules, job aids, and hands-on practical exercises. • Support train-the-trainer and direct-to-customer training deliverables. • Apply adult learning theory and best practices to improve retention, engagement, and performance outcomes. • Partner with content creators, trainers, and the broader Training Team to deliver and assess programs effectively. • Maintain version control, documentation standards, and compliance within internal training systems and platforms. Requirements: • 3+ years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or training program management, ideally in a technical, engineering, or defense-related environment. • Proven ability to partner with technical subject matter experts to organize information into structured learning paths. • Strong knowledge of instructional design models and adult learning theories, including ADDIE, SAM, Gagne’s, and Merrill’s. • Demonstrated project management skills, including scope planning, communications, stakeholder alignment, monitoring, and closure. • Experience developing training content across multiple modalities, including ILT, VILT, eLearning, and performance support tools. • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance. • Familiarity with defense, aerospace, robotics, virtual reality/augmented reality, or software systems is preferred. • Experience with authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, and TechSmith Camtasia, or similar tools. • Understanding of Learning Management Systems and training tracking tools such as Cornerstone. • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. • Ability to facilitate effective train-the-trainer events. • Work history with complex engineering or operations-focused companies, or the Department of Defense, is preferred. • High attention to detail and quality in documentation and deliverables. • Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Technical Communication, or a related field is preferred.
