Role Overview
The Settlement and Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for supervising and handling credit‑card settlement activities, acting as the primary liaison between careerzynith Global Business Services (GBS) and third‑party credit‑card support providers. You will ensure that payments to sites are accurate, timely, and fully reconciled, while also identifying opportunities for process enhancements.
Key Accountabilities
- Relationship Management: Serve as the main point of contact for the careerzynith Credit Card Helpdesk, third‑party credit‑card support providers, field operations, jobbers, retail sites, and careerzynith Credit Card Operations.
- Issue Resolution: Provide prompt communication and resolution for daily partner concerns, ensuring service‑level agreements are met.
- Financial Adjustments: Record and manage SAP financial adjustments that impact site payments, maintaining a clear audit trail.
- Claim Investigation: Investigate manual claim inquiries related to settlement, collaborate with vendors to implement corrective processes, and close out discrepancies.
- Collaboration with Billing: Work closely with the Lead Billing Specialist to resolve reconciliation issues for credit‑card customer offer initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Identify, document, and recommend enhancements to settlement and reconciliation workflows, leveraging analytics and stakeholder feedback.
- Data Integrity: Ensure accurate data entry, uphold data quality standards, and support periodic audits.
- Reporting: Generate regular performance and exception reports for senior finance leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a B2B account‑management environment handling financial entries, debits/credits, and reconciliations.
- One to two (1‑2) years of hands‑on experience with SAP financial modules.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of service requests daily using Siebel, CRM, or comparable ticketing tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
