As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll play a vital role in delivering a personalized and caring client experience, driving sales and service transactions, and improving the financial well-being of our clients.
Job Summary
The Customer Service Representative reports to the Senior Branch Manager or Branch Manager and is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, identifying financial needs, recommending products and services, and engaging business partners to drive sales and service activities. This role requires a thorough understanding of bank products and services, as well as bank policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Builds and expands banking relationships through proactive customer outreach and engagement.
- Services, acquires, and deepens customer relationships by providing exceptional customer service and identifying financial needs.
- Accountable for achieving individual and team sales and servicing goals.
- Develops business and supports servicing needs of customers.
- Adapts to the needs of the office, providing customer service in both a transaction processing and sales role.
- Proactively engages customers in conversation about their financial needs and recommends products and services.
- Demonstrates knowledge of all bank products and services and accurately processes deposits, lending applications, and account opening transactions.
- Engages customers through proactive advice-led consultation and introduces them to alternative banking solutions, including mobile banking, digital banking, and ATMs/ITMs.
- Assists in community events and actively participates in and supports blithequark-sponsored community initiatives, activities, and programs.
- Maintains knowledge and compliance with the Bank's Code of Conduct and all policies and procedures.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A High School Diploma or GED or equivalent business experience.
- 1+ year of financial services experience in retail banking with demonstrated ability to process transactions and execute an advice-led approach with customers.
- Excellent communication skills, both in-person and over the phone, with proven ability to personalize features and benefits of products/services to customers with varying needs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of bank products and services.
- Experience with banking systems and platforms.
- Strong desire to improve the financial well-being of customers by providing education and advice.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, having the following qualifications can be beneficial:
- A Bachelor's Degree.
- 3+ years of financial services experience in retail banking with demonstrated ability to process transactions and execute a consultative advice-led approach with customers, successfully opening new accounts.

Work Environment
As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires:
