Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional support to our Review Team. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll interact with beneficiaries and providers via our helpline, create and format letters, and maintain timeliness. This role requires excellent decision-making skills, particularly when handling complex appeals.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Interact with beneficiaries and providers via the helpline, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Correspondence: Create, format, and proofread letters, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Relationship Building: Foster effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Process Improvement: Assist with identifying areas for potential improvement, as noted on case reviews and process.
- Helpline Support: Answer the Beneficiary Helpline, utilizing the hunt group and available light functions to determine how to best assist callers.
- Data Entry: Properly enter referrals into the CMS system.
- Timeliness: Ensure all letters sent out are timely, with correct components included and reviewed for grammatical and spacing errors.
- Medical Records: Get and validate notices and all components of medical records.
- Intake: Provide intake for all appeals received by Arsenault.
- Quality Control: Utilize internal quality control tools to assess individual work and team processes.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills, with a courteous and patient demeanor.
- Written Communication: Good grammar, punctuation, spelling, hyphenation, and written communications skills.
- Customer Focus: Customer-focused, results-oriented, and capable of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers.
- Technical Skills: General knowledge of a PC-based computer system, with the ability to learn additional software packages as needed.
- Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-High School Education: Post-high school business courses.
- Medical Terminology: Medical terminology.
- Experience: Two to three years of clerical experience, including word processing, various filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities.
- Healthcare Experience: Prior work in a healthcare setting or medical terminology.
