Summary The Director oversees all administrative aspects of the development and operation of The Tulane Law School Master of Jurisprudence in Labor and Employment Law Program, the Tulane Law School Master of Jurisprudence Program in Energy Law, the Tulane Law School Master of Jurisprudence Program in Environmental Law, the Tulane Law School Title IX Compliance Certificate program, and all future programs. The Director handles a large volume of highly confidential, important, often complex, and time-sensitive information, and exercises independent judgment and discretion. This position works with the Senior Director, Program Faculty Directors, and any corporate partners in managing the admissions process and facilitating all aspects of the student experience for online education. This position reports to the Senior Director of Online Legal Education of the online Tulane Master of Jurisprudence Program. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently. • Willingness to travel as required. • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple demands and multiple projects under tight deadlines. • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). • Technical expertise, including competence in use of the internet • Demonstrate ability to pay attention to detail and keep projects on task meeting and exceeding timeline expectations. • Possess ability to provide academic and professional counseling to students in a sympathetic and constructive manner. • Possess knowledge of content and reputation of competitive programs. • Ability to offer advice and counsel to faculty instructors in a constructive and non adversarial manner. • Management and supervisory skills to monitor, evaluate, and train independent contractors and staff. • Event planning and organization skills Required Education and/or Experience • Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of directly related experience OR High School Diploma (or Equivalent) with 8 years of directly related experience Preferred Qualifications • Master’s Degree in Education or Master’s Degree in Law (MJ or MLS) • Experience with online education environments. • Experience with higher education recruitment, admissions, retention, and marketing. • Experience with student support services • Experience with managing and training employees • Ability to engage in creative problem solving Compensation Information This position is classified as “exempt, salaried” and is assigned to pay grade 27.
