Key Responsibilities
- Research and process incoming requests from internal and external customers, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Record financial transactions in accordance with GAAP and company policy, maintaining the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Participate in the monthly financial close process, focusing on treasury and cash accounting functions, including journal entries and account reconciliation.
- Collaborate with key contacts in other departments to resolve reconciliation discrepancies and unrecorded transactions, driving process improvements and efficiency.
- Assist with projects and initiatives aimed at continuously improving accounting processes and efficiency at scale.
- Manage invoicing customers for ad hoc requirements and recurring invoicing of business lines, understanding subsidiary AR, revenue, and GL accounts/journals.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree with an accounting emphasis or equivalent education and experience in accounting or finance.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced accounting operations environment; experience in a public company is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with the ability to quickly organize and analyze data.
- Passion for process improvement and automation, with a keen eye for detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and take initiative without constant approval.
Preferred Qualifications
To further enhance your application, you should have:
- Experience with SQL and reporting platforms such as Power BI.
- Knowledge of major ERP systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics AX.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work well in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Good knowledge of balance sheet accounts, profit and loss accounts, journal entries, and accurate debit and credit.
