The Corporate Accounting Team at Netflix is responsible for managing the company's financial operations, including general and administrative functions, corporate credit card and travel programs, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP financial statements. Key Responsibilities
As a Netflix Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
- Owning the month-end closing process, including reviewing prepaid, accrual, and expense accounts to ensure accuracy of US GAAP financial statements.
- Recording or journal entries (including intercompany entries), preparing balance sheet reconciliations, budgets versus actual controls, and trend analysis. You will also drive process improvement and automate manual workflows for efficiency.
- Creating easy-to-understand closing packages summarizing key business and accounting trends for management review.
- Representing Corporate Accounting in cross-functional interactions with SP&A, Financial Applications, Travel and Expenses, Financial Operations, Tax, and Regional Accounting counterparts.
- Assisting teams in gathering required outputs for local reporting and compliance.
Qualities We Are Looking For

- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong understanding of US GAAP and a CPA or similar designation preferred.
