Job Summary
The Customer Service Coordinator will be responsible for interacting with customers in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner, promoting and selling air travel to the traveling public or freight forwarders, and providing assistance with passenger check-in and load acceptance. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Promotes and sells air travel to the traveling public or freight forwarders
- Provides assistance with passenger check-in and load acceptance
- Interprets authorities' guidelines and requirements for domestic and international travel or shipment shipments
- Meets and dispatches planes within set-up times
- Provides assistance to distressed passengers and customers
- Protects company assets and revenue
- Provides for a safe journey
- Possesses the physical capability and dexterity to perform various job-related duties
- Uses organizational skills to perform multiple tasks within a limited timeframe
- Is self-motivated and requires minimum supervision
- Responds and assists during safety and emergency situations
- Follows internal/external regulations and procedures
- May be required to drive and operate air stairs to various types of aircraft to enplane and deplane passengers
- Responsible for the overall performance in the work location and may be required to lead and direct the work of other employees
- May be required to perform Passenger Operation Control capabilities, including air-to-ground communication and Tower capabilities
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
Minimum Qualifications
- High school degree or GED
- Read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
- Bilingual language skills are required in some locations
- Applicable valid driver's license as required by local authorities
- Must satisfy FAA criminal history checks to qualify for unescorted admission to privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
- Must be able to obtain stable airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable
- Ability to work abnormal and/or prolonged hours, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work on a regular and timely basis

- Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
