Job Overview
We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team for a temporary summer employment opportunity. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll participate in high-volume outbound and inbound call campaigns, answering customer questions related to the Department of Education's Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You'll utilize your excellent communication skills, active listening, and problem-solving abilities to provide consistent high-quality service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Participate in high-volume outbound and inbound call campaigns based on assigned call lists
- Adhere to approved call scripts and compliance guidelines

Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Four to six months of customer service experience in a call center environment
- Good customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional phone voice and etiquette
- Ability to follow instructions and scripts, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Skilled in active listening, with a genuine interest in understanding customer needs and concerns
- Proficient with computers, with good typing skills and ability to navigate software and systems
- Strong time management and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
- Knowledge of the FAFSA and college financial aid and admissions processes (preferred but not required)
Preferred Qualifications

- Work experience in a college financial aid office or college administrative office
- Previous experience working with the FAFSA or other higher education-related programs
