Key Responsibilities
- Effectively handle incoming and outgoing phone calls to patients, clients, and other customers while proactively gathering patient and order information.
- Work closely with patients to discuss therapy changes, provide education, and ensure that they receive the best possible care.
- Communicate with healthcare professionals, including doctors and pharmacists, to resolve issues and provide updates.
- Ensure timely and accurate billing for unbilled claims and account payments for outstanding balances while demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
- Resolve insurance problems and patient issues that may have resulted from incorrect or incomplete information, therapy changes, and pharmacy or shipping errors.
- Maintain supporting chronological notes that detail actions taken to resolve outstanding unbilled claims.
Requirements for Success
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong passion for learning, excellent communication skills, and a desire to understand and address the concerns of patients and healthcare professionals. You will also need to have a working knowledge of insurance, healthcare, and HIPAA compliance. While experience in the healthcare industry is not required, it is essential to have a professional and positive attitude, courteous telephone etiquette, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Qualifications
- 18+ years old and high school diploma/GED.
- Professional and positive attitude, courteous telephone etiquette, and excellent communication skills.
- Full-time schedule availability to meet business needs (may include weekends).
- Willingness to submit to a drug test and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of insurance, healthcare, and HIPAA compliance.
- Experience with medical terminology and healthcare software applications.

At blithequark, we offer a competitive compensation package that includes a hourly rate of $15, benefits eligibility after 60 days, and access to up to 50% of your pay immediately after your shift.
