Job Overview and Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Entry and Customer Service Representative to join our team in Louisville, KY. As a key member of our Veterinary Support team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service, handling prescription orders, and maintaining accurate records. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Connecting with veterinary clinics to obtain prescription approvals, resolve customer issues, and clarify order requests
- Analyzing and troubleshooting issues to determine appropriate solutions for clients and center partners, and following up on a case-by-case basis to resolve issues
- Completing data entry of prescriptions into our healthcare software with precision and accuracy
- Maintaining a high level of quality through data entry and order processing of veterinary pharmacy orders
- Working with empathy, attention, patience, compassion, and kindness to clients and partners alike
- Communicating with veterinary clinics via phone (and occasionally other channels on a case-by-case basis) using our internal program and systems to navigate arrangements and record center note accounts
- Expecting a significant portion of the typical business day to be outbound veterinary clinic/client phone contacts
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- 2 years of experience working in a customer or healthcare-focused environment
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)
- Ability to multitask (e.g., chat on the phone while navigating on the computer and taking notes)
- Work with ownership, be a self-starter, and demonstrate attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
- High school education or equivalent
- Ability to obtain a Pharmacy Technician License from the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy where applicable
- Critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt to change according to the business needs of the organization
- Flexibility to adjust schedule and work overtime as needed by the specialty unit
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information
- Ability to pass a background check
