Job Summary
As an Information Researcher - RWE, you will be responsible for directing refined data analysis to address critical business questions and drive business outcomes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver meaningful insights from real-world data, clinical trials, and other data sources to support biopharmaceutical RWE and clinical trial solicitations. Your expertise in data science and analytics will be essential in helping us uncover new insights and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Mine crude datasets to deliver normalized, analysis-ready patient companions from in-house data resources or licensed platforms, analyze and interpret results, and help shape investigation methodology.
- Collaborate with various members of the blithequark Clinical Trials team to deliver noteworthy insights from real-world, clinical, and other data sources to support biopharmaceutical RWE and clinical trial solicitations.
- Clean, transform, and store data into an integrated data lake for future analysis and broader team utilization.
- Perform data mining and statistical analysis to analyze RWE/RWD to find new insights regarding patient populations and treatment outcomes.
- Support the development of real-world data, analytics, and platform capabilities, applying advanced analytics and tools to resolve scientific inquiries from biopharmaceutical companies.
- Collaborate on the design and execution of outcomes research studies.
- Ensure high-quality, thorough, and promptly interpretable deliverables from RWE reviews and investigations.
- Build dashboards, analytics, and reports for internal and external utilization.
- Conduct a reasonable level of effort on new real-world data suppliers and drive RWD quality evaluations to inform venture decisions.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., statistics, biostatistics, computer science, mathematics, systems engineering, biomedical engineering).
- Experience in planning and executing robust and reproducible statistical analyses in the context of epidemiology and observational research with healthcare data.
- Knowledge of common statistical testing methods, including generalized linear models, clustering and separation, decision trees, unsupervised learning, time series investigation, and survival analysis.
- Experience handling large datasets from various data sources.
- Experience handling safeguarded patient health information.
- Knowledge of at least one of the following: Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Spotfire, or other BI insight tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD or graduate degree in statistics/biostatistics, computer science, mathematics, systems engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
- Expertise in EMR/Health IT, disease registries, and insurance claims databases.
- Proficiency in clinical data standards, clinical terminologies, and controlled vocabularies used in healthcare data and ontologies (ICD9/10/ReadCode).
- Experience in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) as well as regulatory compliance guidelines for real-world evidence examinations or clinical trials (e.g., ISO, MDD/MDR, CFR).
- Experience working with alternative data sources and alternative methods for clinical data collection, particularly those enabled by technology platforms and solutions.
- Experience with experimental design, Bayesian modeling, sequential data, computational statistics.
- Comprehension of statistics and AI techniques, ability to continue self-learning of technical and non-technical skills.
