Job Summary
As a Full-Time Dishwasher and Porter, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the Foodservice Department according to safety, sanitation, and infection control standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Regularly collect and dispose of all food-related and recyclable waste/trash, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Transport carts, deliver meal trays, or pick up meal trays from assigned areas, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
- Comply with internal policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements/standards regarding kitchen safety and sanitation.
- Clean and maintain carts and kitchen equipment using proper techniques and cleaning solutions.
- Perform warewashing duties per safety guidelines, including dishmachine and three-compartment pot sink operations.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless foodservice operations and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will possess:
- No degree or any other education earned is required, but a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- No prior experience is necessary, but previous experience in foodservice or a related field is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push/pull objects up to 75 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, and bending, with occasional kneeling and squatting.
