Job Opportunity: Full-Time Remote Special Education Teacher for Arizona
We're urgently seeking a skilled and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our virtual platform, working with intellectually impaired students in Arizona. As a full-time remote teacher, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives while enjoying the flexibility and convenience of working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality instruction to students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in a virtual setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to ensure students' academic and personal growth
- Collaborate with teachers and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with special education timelines and laws
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents, students, and colleagues through various mediums
- Utilize Vocovision's online toolkit to support instruction and student engagement
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in special education
Essential Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Special Education Teaching or a related field
- Special Education Teaching license issued by the Arizona Department of Education
- Demonstrated passion for and commitment to the field of Special Education Teaching
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for instruction and communication
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with intellectual impairments or similar populations
- Familiarity with virtual or online teaching platforms
- Experience with IEP development and implementation
- Knowledge of assistive technology and accommodations for students with disabilities
