Job Summary
As a Hawaiian Transcriber, your primary responsibility will be to listen to audio files and transcribe them into written text in Hawaiian. You will be required to follow specific guidelines, meet project deadlines, and communicate effectively with project managers via email. The ideal candidate will possess native-level proficiency in Hawaiian, excellent typing skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe assigned audio files in Hawaiian with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Follow project guidelines and meet project deadlines
- Make consistent progress on assigned audio files and communicate with project managers as needed
- Label segments of audio files as required
- Communicate effectively with project managers via email in English
Essential Qualifications
- Native-level (C2) proficiency in Hawaiian, including the ability to read and write
- Excellent grammar, orthography, and punctuation in Hawaiian
- High-speed internet access and access to email
- Ability to create an Upwork profile or have an existing one
