Job Overview
In this critical role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providers, and referral sources seeking home healthcare services. You will work in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment, handling approximately 60-65 incoming calls per day. Your primary responsibilities will include collecting clinical and demographic information, entering data into our portal, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate excellent empathy and patience when interacting with difficult callers or handling complex requests
- Collect and accurately enter clinical and demographic information into our portal
- Provide timely and effective support to patients, providers, and referral sources via phone
- Comply with all blithequark policies, including HIPAA/PHI regulations
- Strive to meet or exceed individual performance goals in areas such as Call Quality, Attendance, Adherence, and other Contact Center objectives
- Collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals and promote a positive, supportive work environment
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in a call center environment
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in the healthcare or medical industry, with knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to navigate dual monitors and multiple applications
- Intermediate keyboarding abilities (at least 30 WPM, with data entry skills while actively listening)
- Basic PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
- A passing score on the SHL Customer Service Phone Simulation Assessment is required to move forward in the interview process
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a remote call center environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Technical Requirements
To perform this role, you will need to have a reliable internet connection with the following specifications:
- Speeds: 2mb/10mb upload and 10mb/25mb download or higher
- High-speed Internet: Fiber or Cable connection required
- DSL, Satellite, Wireless, and Hotspot connections are prohibited due to poor connections
- You will be required to hardwire your internet connection with an Ethernet cable while working
