Key Responsibilities
As a Home Care Aide with Right at Home, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care activities that assist clients with activities of daily living, such as:
- Personal hygiene
- Ambulation/transfers
- Dressing/shaving
- Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
- Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments
- Performing light housekeeping activities
- Performing patient-specific activities that are taught by a Right at Home nurse, such as:
- Providing hospice supportive care
- Medication reminders
- Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
- Assisting with blood glucose monitoring
- Care of bed-bound patients
- Incontinence care
- Using lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful as a Home Care Aide with Right at Home, you'll need:
- Ability to Lift and Move: Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with the physical capability to perform job-related duties
- Prior Experience: Prior experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (some experience preferred)
- Background Check: A background check is required for all team members
- Preferred Experience: Experience with Hoyer lifts, personal care, range of motion exercises, Foley care, companionship, and light cleaning is preferred
