About the Role
As a Lead Product Manager at Netflix, you'll play a critical role in shaping the direction of their gaming portfolio. You'll be responsible for driving player engagement, retention, and lifetime value through data-driven insights and strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define the overall vision for the product and create a clear roadmap of targeted features and initiatives.
- Monitor game performance and guide the PM team to define and drive KPIs and targets for products and features.
- Execute effective review patterns to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous iteration.
- Drive customer and competitive research to identify player segments, feature needs, and product opportunities.
- Define and implement metrics and tracking tools to inform game design and drive decisions for optimization and future feature development.
- Collaborate with analytics to establish experimentation guidelines and utilize A/B testing to meet goals and drive product and player understanding.
- Leverage live operations tools, analytics, and A/B testing to enhance player experience and drive business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to maximize player experience and performance.
- Manage, mentor, and motivate other Product Managers to promote autonomy, mastery, and purpose.
- Lead and inspire colleagues to find solutions to complex problems.
- Foster effective relationships across the studio and with external partners to deliver significant business results.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a unique combination of skills and experience. We're looking for a professional with:
- A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (such as math, finance, statistics, or economics).
- 3+ years of experience in product management, game systems design, or data analysis in games (mobile, PC, or console).
- 3+ years of experience managing direct reports.
- Strong experience with quantitative analysis, including the ability to model game metrics using Excel, SQL, and business intelligence tools.
- Experience with A/B and multivariate testing.
- Understanding and experience with a range of business models, including free-to-play and subscription-based models.
- Excellent business and creative skills, with the ability to connect detailed player behavior and financial outcomes.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to mentor, manage, and prioritize through challenging circumstances.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience working in the gaming industry.
- Knowledge of game development processes and technologies.
