Job Summary
We're seeking an exceptional Math Tutor to join our team in Santa Clara, CA. As a Math Tutor, you'll be responsible for creating an engaging and productive learning experience for students, both in-center and online. Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students using the Mathnasium Method?
- Participate in positive interactions with parents and establish a high level of confidence and program value
- Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
- Teach in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method?, terminology, and teaching practices
- Assess students' progress throughout instructional sessions and work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students
- Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework
- Support the maintenance of a clean and professional learning environment
- Assist with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you'll need:
- A passion for math and working with students
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
- Ability to balance various ongoing tasks
- Willingness to learn and be trained in the Mathnasium Method?
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Previous experience in teaching or tutoring math
- Strong understanding of math concepts and ability to communicate them effectively
- Experience working with students of varying ages and skill levels
