About Our Transcription Opportunities
We're hiring for two distinct transcription roles: Medical Transcription Editors and Legal Transcriptionists. Both positions offer the flexibility of remote work and the opportunity to work on a variety of projects with competitive compensation.
Position 1: Experienced Medical Transcription Editors
We're seeking skilled Medical Transcription Editors to join our team on an independent contractor basis. As a Medical Transcription Editor, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of medical transcriptions. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in medical transcription, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and review medical transcriptions for accuracy and quality
- Work on a variety of medical transcription projects, primarily in the late afternoon and evening
- Utilize your expertise in medical transcription to identify and correct errors
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of medical terminology and concepts
- Work independently with minimal supervision
Essential Qualifications:
- Medical transcription experience within the last 5 years
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy
- Located within the United States
- Willingness to learn new accounts and adapt to changing priorities
- STRONG OP REPORT EXPERIENCE
- Windows 10 or newer operating system and USB foot pedal
Position 2: Experienced Legal Transcriptionists
We're also seeking skilled Legal Transcriptionists to join our team on an independent contractor basis. As a Legal Transcriptionist, you'll be responsible for transcribing a variety of legal projects, including 1-on-1 and 2-on-1 interviews. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in legal transcription, excellent typing and listening skills, and the ability to work under varying deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transcribe legal projects, including interviews and depositions
- Meet varying turnaround times, ranging from 3 to 14 days
- Demonstrate strong typing and listening skills
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Essential Qualifications:
- Typing speed of 55+ wpm
- Current legal transcription experience within the past 5 years
- Strong typing and listening skills
- Team player attitude and ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Computer with anti-virus software, foot pedal, and transcription software (e.g., ExpressScribe)
- Headphones and a quiet, distraction-free workspace
