Key Responsibilities

- Delinquent Account Management: Collect delinquent accounts by establishing payment arrangements with patients, monitoring payments, and following up with patients when payment lapses occur.
- Collection Agency Management: Utilize collection agencies and small claims courts to collect accounts by evaluating and selecting collection agencies, determining the appropriateness of pursuing legal remedies, and testifying in court cases, when necessary.
- Medicare Bad-Debt Cost Report: Maintain accurate and up-to-date Medicare bad-debt cost reports.
- Outstanding Balance Payments: Secure outstanding balance payments for care of employees.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data and generate reports to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Proven Work Experience: Proven work experience as a Medical Biller or similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
