Aurora Bliss Counseling Center is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to analyze clients' mental health status, identifying needs and establishing effective treatment plans tailored to individual circumstances.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to provide both individual and group therapy, transforming clinical interventions into tangible outcomes for clients.
• Actively engage with clients over the course of their therapy, offering emotional support and practical tools to help them overcome challenges.
• Refer clients to additional healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists or substance abuse specialists, when necessary, ensuring a comprehensive approach to their treatment.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans using electronic health record (EHR) systems, maintaining thorough and accurate records in compliance with ethical guidelines.
• Stay updated on changes within the mental health field and engage in continuous education opportunities to enhance clinical skills and approaches.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The ideal candidate will work with a wide variety of clients facing challenges such as anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, substance abuse issues, and eating disorders. Our patients are from diverse backgrounds, and your ability to connect with individuals from various cultural contexts will be essential in delivering effective therapy.
Qualifications
• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience within the mental health field.
• Proficient understanding of mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and a commitment to culturally competent practices.
• Strong skills in crisis intervention and conflict resolution, equipping you to handle challenging client situations effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, especially in establishing rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and navigating computer applications for documentation and client tracking.
• Dedication to maintaining strict professional boundaries, ethical standards, and client confidentiality throughout all interactions.
Preferred Experience
• Experience delivering therapy in a community health setting is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of successful outcomes with clients facing a variety of mental health challenges.
• Experience working within a team-oriented approach to care, collaborating with interdisciplinary staff.
Compensation and Benefits
