About the Role
As a Professional Music Teacher at Music & Arts, you will be responsible for teaching music lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse population of students, from beginners to advanced musicians, and help them achieve their musical goals. Our state-of-the-art studios provide a safe and clean environment for lessons, and you will have the option to teach in-person or online. You will be part of a dynamic team of music educators who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and love of music with others.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach music lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, using a variety of teaching methods and materials
- Communicate with parents and students to provide feedback and progress updates, and to ensure that students are meeting their musical goals
- Collaborate with the store team to maximize the lesson experience, and to ensure that students have access to the resources they need to succeed
- Work with students in our clean and safe studios, or through online lessons, to provide a flexible and convenient learning environment
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training, to stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methods and technologies
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Music or a related field, or equivalent substitutable experience
- At least 2 years of music teaching experience, with a proven track record of success
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with students, parents, and colleagues
- A strong passion for music and education, with a desire to inspire and motivate students to achieve their musical goals
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching a variety of instruments and musical styles, with a broad range of musical knowledge and expertise
- Familiarity with music education software and technology, with the ability to integrate technology into the lesson experience
