About the Role: Pharmacy Technician Call Center - HYBRID
We're seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our hybrid call center team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to medical and pharmacy providers, handling prior authorizations, and resolving claims inquiries. If you have a strong background in pharmacy operations and excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming telephone inquiries from providers regarding prior authorizations and claims in a professional and courteous manner.
- Interpret chart notes, communicate with team members, and perform various duties to support our clients.
- Meet or exceed key performance indicators, achieving service level agreements and maintaining a high level of productivity.
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service skills, resolving issues and de-escalating upset callers.
- Multitask by speaking and typing concurrently, with strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Participate productively as a team member, accepting instruction and direction from leadership while managing tasks independently.
- Comply with contract requirements, business unit rules, and related legal regulations.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum of 2 recent years of pharmacy experience, preferably in a retail pharmacy setting, with a strong customer service background.
- Knowledge of the prior authorization process and experience working with Medicaid or Medicare.
- Excellent communication and problem-resolution skills, with the ability to de-escalate upset callers.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work the required shift (11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday with a Saturday rotation) and be located within 50 miles of Newark, DE.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- Experience working in a metric-driven environment, meeting specific service level agreements (SLAs).
- A dedicated team player with a positive demeanor and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Experience working in the healthcare industry, with a strong understanding of pharmacy operations.
