Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to work in our Cath Lab, where you will be an integral part of our comprehensive cardiovascular care team. As a vital member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with the latest technology in cardiac care, including the Abbot Bioabsorbable Stent, and participate in a wide range of cardiovascular services, including diagnostic and interventional coronary care, structural heart procedures, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and interventional neurology.
Key Responsibilities
- Seamlessly move between Cardiac, EP, IR, and Peripheral procedures, utilizing your expertise and knowledge to provide exceptional patient care.
- Educate and prepare patients for their procedures, ensuring they are informed and comfortable throughout the process.
- Work collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals, including cardiologists, radiologists, and other nurses, to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
- Participate in stand-by/on-call rotation, which includes call expectations on average of 1 weekend for every 4 weeks and 1-2 nights per week, depending on staffing levels.
- Cross-train into EP procedures, expanding your skill set and knowledge in advanced cardiac and vascular care.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred.
- Relevant experience in Critical Care or Cath Lab, with a minimum of 1 year of CCU/ICU or ED experience within the last 2 years, or a minimum of 2 years of CCU and/or ICU experience and/or a minimum of 2 years ED experience within the last 5 years.
- A current RN license from the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with RCIS certification preferred.
- The ability to live within 30 minutes of the hospital due to mandatory call requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Previous experience in a Cath Lab or similar setting.
- Advanced certifications, such as RCIS or CCRN.
- A strong background in cardiovascular nursing, with a passion for advanced cardiac and vascular care.
