About Our Client and the Role
Our client is a large third-party service provider that specializes in delivering high-quality customer service to its members. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for members with inquiries about their benefits. You will work in a remote environment, handling complex calls, researching information, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls from members regarding their benefits, handling 20-50 calls per day on average
- Research information regarding deductibles, claim status, providers, and other related topics
- Answer questions about Medicare and Medicaid, demonstrating a strong understanding of these programs
- Provide excellent customer service, demonstrating a passion for helping others and resolving issues efficiently
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Work up to 2 hours of overtime per week as needed
Essential Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of experience in customer service, preferably in a related field
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations
- Strong typing skills and basic software and computer skills, including ERP and CRM systems
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
- Strong active listening and telephone etiquette skills
- Empathy and a customer-centric approach, with a focus on delivering exceptional service
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience working with Medicare and Medicaid programs
- Certifications such as Certified Financial Service Auditor
- Previous experience in customer relationship management and new business sales
