Job Overview
The Remote Data Entry Operator will play a critical role in entering information with a high degree of speed and accuracy into our customer information system and other software used by our Public Works department. Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain utility accounts with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Verify account eligibility and accessibility to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Prepare, distribute, and complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Prepare files for mass customer communications, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate.
- Assist with mailing billing statements and other notices generated in-house, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Scan or retain documents as required, following company protocols for document management.
- Perform monthly audits of incomplete account transfer requests to identify areas for improvement.
- Enter data into Key Performance Indicator tracking databases to support business decision-making.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
Essential Qualifications

- Education: High School Diploma or an acceptable equivalency diploma (GED).
- Experience: Two (2) years of experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist.
- Licenses or Certifications: None specified.
- Special Requirements: Must pass computer skills, typing and accuracy, and 10-key skills testing for consideration.
