About the Job
blithequark is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Design Manager to join our Information and Investigation team. As a Senior Design Manager, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our Enterprise Data Warehouse and BI platform using various data and BI tools. You will have the opportunity to work with large datasets, create data pipelines, and develop reports to support business decision-making. Key Responsibilities
- Work in a fast-paced environment to analyze, design, develop, and deliver Enterprise Data Warehouse solutions
- Create ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, Windstream, and other data tools
- Build ad-hoc reports to support more inquisitive data users and provide automation using Scene
- Design, develop, maintain, and support our Enterprise Data Warehouse and BI platform using various data and BI tools
- Build relationships and work with key business stakeholders, IT resources to gather requirements and resolve requests efficiently
- Communicate technical and business topics, as appropriate, in a 360-degree format, when required; communicate using written, verbal, or presentation materials as needed
- Develop, maintain, and recommend improvements to Applications in the area of standards, policies, compliance, and quality assurance practices; participate in design and code walkthroughs
- Take ownership of and release process
- Stay up-to-date on relevant technologies and architectures
- Prioritize work based on the highest impact on the business
Essential Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in creating data pipelines using Python/Windstream is required
- Experience with designing DataMart, Data Warehouse, database objects within social databases MySQL, SQL Server, Vertica is required
- Strong proficiency in SQL and query writing is required
- Strong problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure/meet tight deadlines is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with creating dashboards and reports for C-level executives
- Strong understanding of data visualization and reporting tools
- Experience with data governance and data quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of data architecture and data modeling
