Key Responsibilities
- Teach and tutor students in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting, ensuring each student receives the support they need.
- Assess students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions, adapting your teaching approach as necessary.
- Become proficient in using digital educational materials and processes to enhance the learning experience.
- Support the maintenance of a safe, professional, and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth.
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- A passion for math and a commitment to helping students understand and love it.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and team members.
- An eagerness to learn and be trained in our methodologies and curriculum.
- The ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities to meet the needs of our students.
- Capability to teach math effectively through at least Pre-calculus; Calculus I experience is preferred.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Education, Mathematics, or a math-heavy discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in a tutoring or teaching role, with a proven track record of success.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience mentoring or training junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and supportive team culture.
- A background in education or a related field that demonstrates your expertise and commitment to teaching and learning.
All applicants will be required to undergo a math literacy test to assess their math proficiency, provide documentation of work authorization, and pass a background check.
