About the Role: Senior Researcher, Product Experience (Growth)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Researcher to join our Product Experience team, focusing on driving growth and innovation in the streaming industry. As a Senior Researcher, you will play a critical role in uncovering compelling ways to engage and delight our global members. Your primary responsibility will be to lead innovative research that informs business decisions across the organization, with a focus on how Netflix can deliver better value to more members through new ad-supported offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, prioritize, and lead research initiatives that generate insights to inform monetization strategies across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Ads, Product Marketing, Design, Data Science, Strategy Planning, and Brand, to proactively develop research drives.
- Define, design, execute, and socialize a range of research studies that build a deep understanding of existing and future audiences and their experiences worldwide.
- Identify best practices in existing and emerging research methodologies.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience in product research and/or user experience (UX) research, informing growth and monetization strategy. Experience supporting subscription services or ad-supported online products is a plus.
- Mixed-methods research expertise, with hands-on experience driving end-to-end quantitative and qualitative research studies.
- A balance of creative and analytical skills, with the ability to proactively define research questions, identify appropriate methodologies, execute studies, and integrate findings.
- Strong communication skills, with a tendency towards action to proactively collaborate with multiple teams across the organization.
- A passion for translating findings into meaningful strategic business recommendations.
- Global research experience is highly preferred but not required.
Essential Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required. Additionally, you should have:
- A strong understanding of research methodologies and statistical analysis.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as psychology, sociology, or computer science.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python or R.
