Job Overview
We're looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in Oracle B2C Service (also known as Oracle Service Cloud) to play a key role in the development, implementation, and support of our customer service platforms. As a Senior Software Engineer on our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining information systems that enable our customer service organization to deliver exceptional service to our customers. Your expertise in Oracle Service Cloud, CRM integration, and AWS will be crucial in driving the success of our customer service initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and customize the Oracle B2C Service application to meet the evolving needs of our customer service organization
- Develop in-depth knowledge of Chewy's business processes and systems environment to ensure seamless integration and support
- Monitor alerts and reports to ensure systems are functioning properly and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Follow established best practices to offer repeatable and scalable business processes that drive efficiency and effectiveness
- Interact directly with business users to support solution implementation for business needs and provide exceptional customer service
- Work independently or as a team member, displaying the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Take ownership of aspects of our continued effort to deploy a modern microservices-based architecture and contribute to the development of our technology roadmap
- Assist with root cause analysis and provide solutions for production and development issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system availability
- Stay current with Oracle B2C Service, AWS, and related fields, applying knowledge to continuously improve our systems and processes
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) or Computer Science (CS) or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including the ability to perform independent analysis and problem-solving
- 5+ years of experience developing Oracle B2C Service configuration and customization features, including Customer Portal, BUI Extensions, Custom Scripts, Custom Process Models, and more
- 5+ years of experience working with RESTful web services and integrating with AWS technologies
- Strong analytical abilities, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for learning and growth
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong time management and organization skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A team-oriented mindset with a customer service focus, and a willingness to work collaboratively to achieve shared goals
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience administering Oracle B2C Service for large organizations, including configurations, workflows, reports, business rules, and more
- Experience with AWS technologies, such as Lambda, State functions, SNS, SQS, and more
- Experience using Terraform to manage cloud infrastructure and Jenkins to execute CI/CD pipelines
- Comfort working with multiple remote team members and experience with agile development methodologies
- Professional Scrum Master Certification or equivalent experience
- Experience using and implementing automated testing and a strong understanding of testing principles and methodologies
