Job Overview

The Senior Sourcing Specialist will play a critical role in associating with business stakeholders across the organization to make intelligent sourcing decisions in selecting service providers to maximize the value of our $1B+ annual professional services spend. This includes running RFPs, negotiating organization and section-level deals, managing vendor relationships, recommending best-in-class providers and innovations, facilitating process improvements, and bringing stakeholders across segments together for collaboration and leveraging opportunities. As a strategic sourcing expert, you will function as the connective tissue across segments, developing broader opportunities than what is feasible at the section level.

Key Responsibilities

Join a dynamic team responsible for the strategic sourcing of Professional Services for blithequark, building relationships with key executives, advising on market engagement to identify the best vendor partners, leading deal negotiations, and assisting in optimizing cross-section vendor relationships.
Work on a wide range of projects that will keep the role exciting, exposing you to many service-providing industries, including consulting and advisory, financial, tax, audit, data subscriptions, translations, temporary workers, managed services, and more.
Develop subject-matter expertise in the professional services category through research, networking, leading key initiatives, and building relationships with leaders in the various disciplines.
Grow and implement strategic sourcing strategies and contractual arrangements through competitive bids and agreement negotiations.
Participate and lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives with key internal stakeholders.
Evaluate vendors and experts based on pre-determined selection criteria.
Develop and lead RFI/RFP processes for professional services according to blithequark's policy and procedures.
Analyze bids based on overall cost/delivery to identify opportunities to obtain the most desirable value.
Prepare and execute clear, based negotiation strategies utilizing Strategic Sourcing methodology.
Prepare and execute contracts as well as perform post-award administration.
Understand and assist in the development and execution of performance management programs with vendors that focus on quality, responsiveness, and value.
Ensure compliance with Sourcing and Procurement regulations and best practices.
Communicate and document to management the status of any significant external relationships that could impact planning and decision-making.
Analyze marketing business trends and situations that affect internal stakeholders and external vendors and/or pricing.
Participate in professional development activities to stay abreast of current industry best practices.
Demonstrate exemplary integrity and ethics in all instances.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

5+ years of strategic sourcing experience with a minimum of 2 years of services category sourcing.
Ability to engage with and establish relationships with personnel at all levels.
Strong strategic agility.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong negotiation skills.
Ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Ability/preference to work in various environments.
Ability to handle ambiguity.
Knowledge of Sourcing & Procurement processes, basic legal terms & conditions, and entertainment industry trends and situations.
Proven proficiency with all aspects of the sourcing process for professional services agreements.
Established experience working with the legal department on subjects regarding boilerplate revisions to terms and conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

Experience working with and/or for companies that offer consulting and advisory services.
Professional Services Sourcing background is a plus.
Consulting/Advisory background is a plus.

Education

A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field is required.
