Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Business Development to join our team. The successful candidate will have the primary responsibility for producing the MSP/VMS Sales activities for our company’s workforce solutions to healthcare facilities. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned sales leader to drive business growth, develop strategic partnerships, and contribute to the evolution of our innovative healthcare workforce logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Generation: Generate revenue by securing contracts for services provided by Healthcare Workforce Logistics to prospective clients.
- Sales Target Development: Develop sales target prospective client lists consisting of healthcare delivery organizations that meet minimum spend thresholds.
- Sales Activity Documentation: Document sales activity and maintain sales pipeline in HubSpot, providing weekly pipeline reports to the VP of Sales highlighting sales progress and milestones.
- Outreach Efforts: Conduct outreach efforts including phone calls, emails, and networking to engage key stakeholders and decision makers at prospective clients.
- Client Engagement: Secure meetings with key stakeholders and effectively communicate the Healthcare Workforce Logistics value to prospective clients, including system demonstrations, in-person and virtual presentations, and written proposals.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with prospective clients, including pricing and service commitments.
- RFP Response: Respond to RFPs issued from prospective clients.
- Growth Roadmap Execution: Work closely with the VP of Sales to execute on our growth roadmap.
- Relationship Building: Effectively build and maintain key relationships with newly acquired client accounts and assist implementation and customer support teams as an escalation point for issues or challenges within client accounts.
- Trusted Advisor: Establish ‘trusted advisor’ status with key stakeholders at prospective and newly acquired client accounts.
- Trade Show Representation: Represent Healthcare Workforce Logistics at trade shows and other networking events.
Essential Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree required, MBA in Business or Marketing or other related field preferred.
- Understanding of VMS and MSP: Basic understanding of Vendor Management System and Managed Services Programs.
- Sales Experience: 10+ years selling software, consulting, or strategic staffing solutions.
- Leadership Experience: Experience in the technology startup world and a proven leader.
- Travel Requirement: Ability to travel up to 30% when needed.
- People Skills: Excellent people skills, with the ability to start, cultivate, and maintain lasting relationships with customers, direct reports, and senior management.
- Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with software development and technology teams to execute growth and solve problems.
