Sierra Nevada Corporation is a leader in aerospace and national security, seeking an FP&A Analyst I to provide analytics and oversight of financials and resource planning. The role involves supporting financial management planning, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and conducting detailed financial analysis.
Responsibilities
- Provide analytics and oversight of financials, resource planning, and performance measurements
- Participate in indirect rate planning
- Support the development and implementation of financial management plans
- Coordinate and ensure the accuracy of financial deliverables to corporate entities
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations
- Conduct detailed financial and variance analysis to understand business performance and identify trends, opportunities, and risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis initiatives
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
- 0-2 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, or a related field
- Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of related experience is required
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports and/or projections
- Ability to leverage advancing financial tech to continuously improve modeling, forecasting, and financial insights
- Familiarity with Profit and Loss statements
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
- Enthusiasm for the Aerospace and Defense industry
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and other MS Office applications
