Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and strategic Fractional Part-Time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to partner with small businesses, providing expert financial leadership and guidance. Duties - Core Focus & Responsibilities - Financial Reporting: Produce monthly/quarterly/annual statements and maintain multi-year forecast models. - Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow across all brands, flag risks, and optimize capital allocation. - Strategic Advisory: Act as a thought partner on pricing strategy, vendor contracts, and growth opportunities. - Compliance & Controls: Oversee bookkeeping accuracy, ensure small business compliance, and liaise with our CPA. What We are Looking for: - Experience: 7+ years in financial management (CFO, Controller, or VP of Finance). - Small Business Expertise: Proven experience with small-to-mid-size businesses, multi-revenue streams, or fractional/advisory capacities (required). - Tech Savvy: Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets modeling and QuickBooks. - Bonus: Experience in the event, hospitality, real estate, or creative industries is a meaningful plus Skills - Extensive experience in corporate finance, including fiscal management, financial analysis, forecasting analysis, and strategic planning. - Strong knowledge of industry-specific regulations such as GAAP, IFRS, IAS, ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), and compliance frameworks like SOX and COSO. - Proven expertise in mergers & acquisitions, business development, fundraising strategies, and supply chain cost management. - Advanced skills in financial modeling, report writing, interpretation of financial statements, and risk assessment techniques. - Proficiency with financial software tools and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems used in accounting and treasury management. - Excellent negotiation skills coupled with strategic management capabilities to influence decision-making at the senior leadership level. - Demonstrated leadership in supervising teams across finance functions such as payroll management, expense control, cost accounting, governmental accounting, and public accounting practices. - Ability to analyze market trends through market analysis techniques to support strategic growth initiatives. - Strong technical accounting expertise in areas like tax accounting, non-profit accounting if applicable, revenue cycle management, and industry-specific regulations.Join us if you’re ready to bring your strategic vision into action—empowering small businesses with expert financial guidance while enjoying the flexibility of a part-time fractional role Compensation & Terms - Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and scope. - Structured as a monthly retainer or project-based engagement. - Open to W-2 or 1099 arrangements based on your preference.
