About the position
Intermedia Group has an opening for a Senior Business Analyst (Oracle R12) to support the internal Oracle R12 systems for a major media company. This role is remote but requires the candidate to work eastern time zone hours and reside in the US. The position is expected to last for 6 months or more. The successful candidate will be part of a cross-functional team, working closely with business stakeholders and technologists, and will have ownership of project deliverables. A deep understanding of Business Analysis and functional knowledge in Oracle R12 modules is essential.
Responsibilities
• Develop an understanding of customers' needs and apply it in researching potential solutions.
• Participate in clarification, rationalization, and documentation of project requests.
• Prepare project initiation documents.
• Analyze and document relevant business processes.
• Conduct interviews with customers to define functional requirements.
• Participate during detailed design and/or configuration.
• Work closely with the development team to deliver quality solutions.
• Participate in Integration Testing, including development of test plans, test cases, and scenarios.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing on small to medium size projects.
• Assist in the preparation of end user documentation, training materials, curriculum, and schedule.
• Conduct training classes, including train-the-trainer, one-on-one, and classroom style training.
• Provide first line post-implementation support to users regarding functional issues.
• Participate in change management activities.
• Take ownership of functional issues by identifying underlying problems and implementing system resolutions.
• Provide front-line user support for related business applications.
• Document and track program defects.
• Communicate plans, status, and issues to management on a regular basis.
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience working with Oracle R12.
• Deep functional knowledge of Oracle R12 modules: P2P, OTC, Project Accounting, Inventory, WIP, BOM.
• 5+ years of experience performing business analysis within a large enterprise.
• Ability to use querying languages to extract and analyze data (e.g., SQL).
• Experienced in using Microsoft Office applications; Microsoft Automate preferred.
• Working knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Familiarity with standard IT practices related to business application development and implementation.
• Understanding of distributed and multi-tiered applications, as well as SaaS and PaaS solutions.
• Strong business process definition capabilities.
Nice-to-haves
• Media Industry experience strongly preferred.
