MMJ Health is seeking a licensed Georgia Physician to join our growing medical cannabis evaluation team. This role is designed for a physician who will provide online telehealth certifications for eligible Georgia patients seeking access to the state’s medical cannabis program. Prior experience in medical cannabis is not required. MMJ Health provides training, operational support, and patient coordination so physicians can focus on reviewing patient history, confirming eligibility, and delivering a professional, compassionate telehealth experience. Benefits • Health & Vision insurance • Paid time off • 100% Employee discount • Matching 401k • Professional development assistance • Growth opportunity with an expanding medical cannabis practice • Supportive administrative and scheduling team • Positive, mission-driven work environment • Opportunity to help patients access medical cannabis care through a streamlined telehealth model Requirements • Active and unrestricted Georgia Medical License required • Must maintain their principal place of business in Georgia. • Physician in good standing with applicable licensing boards • Must be comfortable using telehealth platforms, digital patient records, online forms, scheduling systems, and other technology required for virtual patient evaluations. • Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced telehealth environment while maintaining clinical accuracy, professionalism, and a strong patient experience. • Ability to review medical records and patient history thoroughly • Strong communication skills and professional bedside manner • DEA registration preferred, if applicable • Previous cannabis or medical marijuana experience is a plus, but not required • Familiarity with Georgia’s medical cannabis program is a plus, but training will be provided Responsibilities • Conduct online telehealth evaluations for Georgia patients • Review patient medical records and medical history • Verify whether patients meet Georgia’s qualifying condition requirements • Determine patient eligibility for medical cannabis certification • Create appropriate documentation and treatment recommendations • Demonstrate strong technical proficiency with telehealth platforms, digital records, scheduling tools, and online documentation systems. • Maintain an efficient, fast-paced telehealth visit flow while providing thorough, compliant, and patient-centered evaluations. • Maintain compliance with Georgia medical cannabis rules and applicable telehealth standards • Provide patients with a professional, compassionate, and efficient evaluation experience • Work closely with MMJ Health’s administrative team to ensure a smooth patient process No Prior Medical Marijuana Experience Needed MMJ Health has trained physicians in the medical cannabis field before.
