Job Summary:
Join our team at Baptist Health South Florida, a leading not-for-profit healthcare organization, as a Credentialing Specialist 2 in our Medical Staff Services department. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to support the credentialing and recredentialing processes for our Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals. As a Credentialing Specialist 2, you will play a critical role in ensuring that only qualified practitioners provide care within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process initial and reappointment applications in accordance with established policies, rules, regulations, and standards.
- Verify credentials and obtain appropriate privileges for healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with Medical Staff Offices to support the credentialing and verification process.
- Participate in projects to facilitate the credentialing and verification process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements:
- High school diploma, certificate, GED, or equivalent required.
- Three (3) years of experience in credentialing.
- Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment operations.
- Database and computer literacy.
- Excellent communication, customer service, organization, planning, and time management skills.
- Ability to function independently and as a resource for others.
