Euclid City School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Social Studies Teacher to join our team for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year, with the possibility of a full-time position for the 2024-2025 school year. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Teach a range of social studies subjects, including history, geography, civics, and economics
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and motivation
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and best practices
- Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress
Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in High School Social Studies (Comprehensive Social Studies 7-12 or Integrated Social Studies 7-12)
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching social studies in a high school setting
- Familiarity with project-based learning and technology integration
- Experience with differentiated instruction and assessment
