HR & Compliance Coordinator

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive HR & Compliance Coordinator with experience in the disability and/or community services industry, particularly with NDIS-related operations. This role requires strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, onboarding and training processes, staff engagement, and internal audits. The ideal candidate is someone who can manage HR functions end-to-end while ensuring compliance with NDIS and Australian workplace regulations. Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate recruitment: job ads, application screening, interviews, reference checks, and contract issuance.

  • Lead onboarding processes for new staff, ensuring full documentation and orientation.

  • Manage and track compliance items such as First Aid, CPR, insurance, and NDIS Worker Screening.

  • Maintain accurate compliance and training registers, ensuring audit readiness at all times.

  • Organize and facilitate internal and external staff training, including eLearning module completion.

  • Publish and update weekly rosters for support staff; handle swaps and leave cover promptly.

  • Conduct internal audits on personnel records, participant files, and organizational policies.

  • Implement staff engagement programs, such as check-ins, recognition initiatives, and feedback surveys.

  • Maintain documentation and reporting aligned with NDIS and NDIA standards.

  • Support policy and procedure updates and ensure timely compliance reviews.

  • Collaborate with external training providers (RTOs) for VET traineeships and upskilling pathways.


Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in HR, compliance, or workforce coordination in the disability/community services sector.

  • Strong knowledge of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework and SCHADS Award.

  • Proven ability to manage onboarding, training coordination, and compliance documentation.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a people-first approach.

  • Strong computer literacy and familiarity with HR and compliance software platforms.

  • Experience conducting internal audits and preparing reports for leadership.

  • Thorough understanding of Australian employment legislation and workplace standards.
