ONLINE BEGINNING HEALTHCARE SPANISH FACULTY ? SUMMER 2024
Experienced online faculty member needed to teach beginning healthcare Spanish summer course from May 20-July 12, 2024. This asynchronous, accelerated, 8-week course teaches students the basics of the Spanish language, culture, and medical vocabulary. This course is the foundation to a Spanish healthcare minor and addresses intercultural responsiveness in healthcare. The ideal candidate has specialized training for teaching the Spanish language and culture, and the candidate has experience teaching upper-level Spanish courses at a college level. A native speaker is preferred. Experience with Brightspace LMS and GoReact is a plus
Minimally, a master's degree in Spanish is required. Please submit resume, two references, graduate transcripts, and a philosophy of teaching statement for engaging students in Spanish in an online delivery modality.

Education
- Completion of terminal degree deemed appropriate per programmatic needs in the assigned discipline from a regionally accredited institution required, with a minimum of 18 semester hours in content-specific related field; master's and/or doctoral degree in related field preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in area relevant to program assignment required; one or more years of experience in teaching at the post-secondary level is preferred.
- Where appropriate, Nebraska licensure and national certifications are required of faculty employed at Nebraska Methodist College.
