Interim Accounting Manager (Nonprofit)
100% Remote | 6-Month Contract
Truity Partners is partnering with a well-established nonprofit organization to identify an Interim Accounting Manager for a six-month engagement. This is a fully remote opportunity supporting the accounting team through fiscal year-end, audit preparation, and the organization's annual financial reporting cycle.
Responsibilities
• Lead day-to-day general ledger accounting and month-end close activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Support year-end close and prepare schedules and documentation for the annual audit.
• Account for restricted funds and ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards.
• Assist with consolidated financial reporting.
• Supervise and mentor two accounting team members.
• Support HUD audit requirements and other financial reporting needs.
Qualifications
• Prior nonprofit accounting experience required.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience supporting annual external audits.
• Experience with restricted fund accounting.
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
