Description of Work Salary Range - $50,088 - $87,654 The position is designated Statutory Exempt (EHRA) and is exempt from the State Human Resources Act This position may be eligible for hybrid remote work in accordance with state policy and the agency’s remote work program but does require weekly onsite work. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and organized Internship Coordinator and Recruiter to join our team! The North Carolina Department of Information Technology (NCDIT) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Internship Coordinator/Recruiter to lead the agency’s internship programs and support recruitment efforts. This dual role is responsible for building strong partnerships with colleges and universities, managing internship pipelines, and recruiting top talent for a variety of roles across the agency. Key Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and manage structured internship programs across DIT divisions • Serve as the primary liaison with colleges, universities, and technical institutions • Coordinate outreach, selection, onboarding, and tracking of interns • Support recruitment for senior leadership and IT roles, including sourcing, screening, and presenting candidates • Provide consultation on salary administration and ensure compliance with state policies • Represent NCDIT at career fairs and recruitment events statewide • Develop communication materials and strategies to promote internship and career opportunities • Track and report program metrics and recruitment data About the Division The NCDIT Human Resources Division provides comprehensive human resources program support to the agency workforce statewide. The Division ensures compliance with Federal and State law, and guides agency leadership, management, supervisors, and employees in the areas of: HR policy administration and interpretation, classification and compensation, employee relations / disciplinary procedures, grievance administration, recruitment and selection, pay administration, HRIS administration, performance management, workforce development / talent management, benefits administration, HR records management, internship / apprenticeship programs, HR data analytics, and workforce safety and health programs.
