The successful candidate will be expected to join the team onsite at the downtown Houston office. This is not a remote or hybrid role.The candidate's primary objective is to consult and support the Asset business units and Information Technology (IT) department to understand the technology needs and challenges, ensure that projects align with best practices and IT strategy in support of the overall business strategy. This person analyzes, reviews and documents requirements of a project throughout its life cycle.RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Represent and understand the needs of Asset teams to technical planning groups in IT.
• Consult with business units and review IT usage, services, technology, and department specific projects to identify, forecast and develop IT needs.
• Identify and evaluate the impact of proposed or requested major changes to existing financial systems, modify them as necessary for cross-enterprise commonality and efficiency, and prepare them for assignment and execution after establishing appropriate priorities in conjunction with business management
• Analyze business requirements and functional change requests; identify omissions and errors in requirements; recommend optimum approach and develop systems and/or applications design for approved projects
• Oversee all phases of a project from conception to completion, including scope changes, and keep user engaged through different communication channels.
• Ensure that IT Operational software and tools are meeting or exceeding user expectations.
• Establish relationships within IT, with business units, and with vendors during evaluations and negotiations to identify potential issues and risks.
• Coordinate use and delivery of IT services to business users in each Asset.
• Performs other IT projects as assigned.

RequirementsTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Experience with Quroum or Waterfield(W Energy)
• Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:

• Microsoft: SQL, SSRS, PowerBI, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint
• SAP ERP, OneStream, Wolfepak
• Working knowledge of oil and gas industry applications and processes.

• Three (3) years minimum experience with E&P applications and tools.
• Working knowledge of maintenance management systems or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of cloud application infrastructure.
• Exceptional ability in diagnosing and solving technical related issues.
• Ability to conduct application troubleshooting.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
• Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities with minimum supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex information system’s information into an organized and presentable manner.

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in information technology, electrical engineering, computer science, or a closely related field. Additional experience may substitute for education on a year for year basis.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative, teamwork and problem solving
• Strong attention to detail, and good oral and written communication skills
• Certification in Advanced Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Information Technology Software Management (ITSM).
