Position: Lead Backend Engineer
Location: Remote
Duration: Contract-to-Hire
• Lead architecture and technical direction for scalable AWS/Node.js/React applications, integrating GenAI/LLM capabilities into modern cloud platforms.
• Design, build, and own end-to-end solutions using Node.js (TypeScript), React/Next.js, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SNS/SQS, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
• Develop secure, production-ready GenAI solutions (RAG, LLM integrations, AI infrastructure, observability, and governance).
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Drive engineering best practices, code quality, CI/CD, monitoring, documentation, and operational excellence.
• Mentor engineers, lead Agile ceremonies, perform code reviews, and influence technical decisions across teams.
• Build event-driven, serverless, and asynchronous architectures leveraging AWS messaging services and NoSQL/relational databases.
• Implement logging, monitoring, tracing, and production support using CloudWatch, X-Ray, and modern observability practices.
• Requires experience in AWS-hosted web applications, 3+ years in Node.js/TypeScript, strong React, JavaScript, OpenSearch, and AWS expertise.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and hands-on experience delivering high-traffic, consumer-facing applications with GenAI.
