For legal work this means reviewing model outputs for accuracy, spotting risks, checking citations, and writing model answers and drafting examples that teach models to be reliable and safe. This industry offers flexible, remote contract work that often requires subject-matter expertise rather than prior machine-learning experience—so experienced attorneys can earn meaningful pay while influencing how legal AI performs. • Tasks typically include evaluation, writing, and quality assurance of model-generated legal text. • Work supports consumer and business-facing AI behaviors and requires careful judgment about legal risk and tone. All required items below are mandatory for consideration. • JD/LLB or equivalent law degree. • Active bar membership or eligibility in at least one jurisdiction. • Minimum 5 years of professional legal practice. • Strong issue-spotting, structured legal analysis, and precise drafting skills. • Experience in one or more practice areas such as contracts, employment, privacy, corporate, litigation, IP, real estate, or compliance. • Strong primary-source research skills (statutes, regulations, cases) and C1 English proficiency. • Prior experience with AI data training, legal QA, editorial review, or knowledge management is strongly preferred. Compensation, location & tools Compensation is paid hourly. Rates vary by project and experience; posted pay parameters are provided below.
